Meet your first aid requirements
As an employer, you must ensure that workers can receive first aid treatment if they are injured or become ill on the job.
This includes providing:
- Appropriate equipment, facilities, and first aid attendants
- Clear and accessible first aid procedures
- Transportation to medical treatment when needed
To know which first aid requirements you need to meet, you must complete a first aid assessment or refer to your written first aid assessment.
If a WorkSafeBC officer inspects your workplace, they will want to know how you are meeting your first aid requirements.
