Inspections and prevention activities

As part of our initiative to reduce the serious injury rate by applying resources and effort where they will be most effective, our officers are inspecting workplaces and conducting consultation and education activities.

Focused inspections
Q1–Q4 2024
  • Inspections on violence prevention, harassment prevention, new and young worker orientations and support, first aid procedures, working alone, and joint committee worker representatives or means of reporting issues. These inspections will include consulting on psychological health and safety, and discussing how to include workers in identifying psychological safety risks and developing robust protections.
Consultations and education activities
Q1–Q4 2024
  • Presentations as requested to workers, employers, and employer groups on the importance of psychological safety
  • Presentations as requested to employers and employer groups on harassment prevention and how to respond to harassment
  • Outreach inspections and presentations on compliant psychologically safe workplaces and updates to the violence and harassment prevention regulations
