Inspections and prevention activities

As part of our initiative to reduce the serious injury rate by applying resources and efforts where they will be most effective, our officers are inspecting workplaces and conducting consultation and educational activities.

  • Planned inspections of workplace locations will focus on risks from the strategic focus areas most applicable to each location
  • Officers will follow up as needed to assist employers in strengthening their safety management systems to reduce their risks

Manufacturing advertising
Q1 to Q4 2024

  • Support initiative through paid advertising that will include digital ads, emails, blogs, etc.

Manufacturing events

  • Identify and participate in industry events and align event messaging with the planned inspectional initiatives messaging

Presentations
Q1 to Q4 2024

  • Provide presentations to industry associations and their memberships

Baked Goods Project

  • Selected employers in the 711004 Baked Goods Manufacture CU will be contacted and requested to allow an in-person on-site consultation with other Prevention Services departments
  • Findings will be used to inform future resource development, such as an officer job aid
  • Findings will be shared with industry through advertising, event messaging, presentations, and general outreach activities
