We’re making improvements to our online services to help you find information, complete tasks, and get support more easily.
Every day, workers and employers interact with WorkSafeBC to prevent injuries as part of recovery and return to work. In those interactions, people deserve to feel confident, supported, valued, and informed. We’ve heard from you that our services should be simpler, work more seamlessly together, and be easier to use.
Over the next few months, you’ll see changes to your online services designed to improve your experience. These changes are part of an ongoing journey to expand digital channels and modernize services for the people we serve.
What we’ve heard from you
The upcoming digital changes are informed by extensive feedback from workers and employers. Through surveys, user testing, and focus groups, we’ve learned what people value most:
- Better communication — digital options, faster response times, and less reliance on phone calls and paper mail
- Timely updates — notifications and reminders about important actions and activities
- Clear guidance — easy-to-use services that help people understand what they need to do next and complete tasks quickly
What’s changing
Some of the following features are already in place, with more to come in the months ahead.
- Online worker injury reporting — helps workers report injuries more quickly and access services sooner
- Two-factor authentication — helps protect personal information and online accounts
- Redesigned employer dashboard — shows action items and recent activity
- AI-powered website search — helps people find answers using everyday language
- Faster access to online claim information — gives injured workers quicker access to information about their claims
- Improved profile management — makes it easier for injured workers to update personal and contact information online
What this means for you
Online services are evolving to make it easier to get information, complete tasks, and stay informed. Employers will spend less time navigating systems and tracking activities, while workers will have easier access to claim information and support throughout their recovery and return-to-work journey.
Together, these changes will create a more streamlined experience when interacting with WorkSafeBC.
