Providing contracted medical advisor services

WorkSafeBC employs a team of medical advisors who play a vital role in helping workers successfully navigate their recovery and return-to-work journey. To complement staff medical advisors, we also contract medical advisory services from individual or incorporated physicians who are in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.

Providing contracted medical services

Supporting injured workers and helping them recover is challenging, stimulating, and rewarding work. We foster a work culture that is welcoming, inclusive, and supportive.

As a contracted medical advisor, you can:

  • Set your availability for work
  • Provide services remotely from a secure private location in B.C.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals in other fields
  • Access in-house education and support to learn about best practices in occupational medicine and other related topics

Important to know

Before we can finalize any offer of employment, you must:

  • Successfully meet the legal requirements under the Criminal Records Review Act to work with children and/or vulnerable adults
  • Confirm you are legally entitled to work in Canada and eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
