Working as an employee medical advisor

As an employee medical advisor, you can:

• Apply to work a full- or part-time Monday to Friday schedule (minimum 2.5 days per week), based on operational needs
• Collaborate with medical professionals in other fields
• Access in-house education and support to learn about best practices in occupational medicine and other related topics

We are looking for physicians who:

• Are eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
• Have 5+ years of experience in clinical practice, including family medicine, sports medicine, or emergency medicine and an interest in rehabilitation, mental health, or occupational medicine
• Have an interest in occupational medicine and disability management, including supporting teams who help workers and workplaces with safe and suitable return to work  
• Are willing to work in a team-based environment
• Have excellent communication skills

Important to know

Before we can finalize any offer of employment, you must:

• Successfully meet the legal requirements under the Criminal Records Review Act to work with children and/or vulnerable adults
• Confirm you are legally entitled to work in Canada and eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
