Becoming a provider

Acupuncturists and doctors of traditional Chinese medicine need to complete two steps before providing acupuncture services to injured workers. If you're a doctor or physiotherapist, your contract explains what you'll need to do to ensure we'll cover your services.

Getting started

If you're an acupuncturist or a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, you must be registered and in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine to work with us.

If you're a doctor or physiotherapist, you can provide acupuncture as part of your regular treatment modalities and bill according to your respective contracts.

Getting approval for treatment

Before beginning treatment, acupuncturists and doctors of traditional Chinese medicine need to complete the two following steps:

Steps for treatment approval

  1. 1

Check that we have accepted the worker's claim.

You can check the claim status online.

  2. 2

Get our verbal approval each time for treatments.

Once you confirm that we have accepted the worker’s claim, you will need to call our Teleclaim team to receive verbal approval to proceed with up to five treatments.
