Public Hearings & Consultations
The Policy, Regulation and Research Department (PRRD) conducts extensive stakeholder consultation when making regulation and policy changes. It is a transparent process where stakeholders have multiple opportunities to review regulation and policy proposals and provide feedback before a decision is made. See our Policy Development Framework for more information on how policies are developed.
The PRRD obtains stakeholder views on policy and regulation issues through a number of means, including preparation and distribution of discussion papers. The PRRD welcomes public comment on any policy or regulation issue being consulted on with stakeholders. Instructions on how to provide comments are provided with each issue.
Stakeholder feedback received from public hearings and policy consultations is provided to the Board of Directors for consideration when they make decisions.
