Workers’ Advisers Office

The Workers' Advisers Office is an independent branch of the B.C. provincial government that advises and assists workers on claim disagreements they have with WorkSafeBC.

Contact the Workers’ Advisers Office if:

  1. You receive a decision from WorkSafeBC about a claim for compensation but disagree with it and want advice and assistance on a potential appeal.
  2. WorkSafeBC did not provide you with a decision on an issue of entitlement under the Workers Compensation Act.
  3. You raised an issue of health and safety in the workplace and your employer took some action, or failed to take some action, that adversely affected your terms of employment or membership in a union.
  4. WorkSafeBC declined to accept your complaint for Prohibited Action under Part 2, Division 6 of the Workers Compensation Act.

Visit the Workers' Advisers web site for more information, including FAQs and regional contact information.

For general workers’ compensation information and any questions about the status of your claim or why a particular decision on your claim was made, please contact WorkSafeBC.
