Fraud committed against WorkSafeBC is harmful to the organization and by extension, the workers and employers of B.C. WorkSafeBC is committed to deterring and detecting fraud, and taking appropriate action in cases of suspected fraud against the workers' compensation system.

Fraud occurs when someone gains, or has the potential to gain, something they are not entitled to through a lie, exaggeration, omission, or other type of deception. Those who commit fraud against WorkSafeBC may face civil, administrative, and/or criminal actions.

We take allegations of fraud seriously. Reports of suspected fraud are reviewed and may be investigated.
