Incident summary
The operator of a loaded log transporter (a truck and trailer assembly) lost control of the log transporter on a private forest (industrial) road. The log transporter rolled over onto the driver side, spilling the load of logs. The operator sustained serious injuries.

Investigation conclusions

Cause

• Loaded log transporter exceeded rollover threshold. The operator attempted to negotiate a curve on the gravel road at a speed and turn radius that exceeded the rollover threshold of the loaded log transporter he was operating. He lost control of the log transporter and it rolled over onto the driver side.
