Workplace Evaluations for Supervisors
A workplace evaluation is a planned measurement of worksite behaviour and conditions against expectations. This web book, viewable online from a desktop computer or mobile device, focuses on the need to:
- Conduct planned evaluations with appropriate frequency.
- Focus on worker behaviour, not just physical conditions in the workplace.
- Determine root causes of identified problems or deficiencies.
- Measure performance against standards.
- Build in accountability.
WorkSafeBC's Supervisor Series is made up of four web books, each focusing on a different aspect of safety supervision. Each web book contains interactive exercises that will challenge your decision-making skills and test your knowledge. Other topics in the series include safety management systems, communication skills, and new and young worker education and training.
