Home care
COVID-19 and home care
To learn how to minimize the risk of exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19 at your workplace, please see the information at Community social services (residential) and COVID-19 safety.
Providing home care can present additional health and safety challenges, as most homes were never intended or designed to be workplaces. The three most common causes of work-related injuries are overexertion; slips, trips, and falls; and motor vehicle incidents. Home care workers may also be exposed to infectious diseases and violent behaviour.
