Overview of services
The Respiratory Therapy Services and Equipment program supports injured workers with compensable respiratory conditions through comprehensive respiratory therapy services. Services may include respiratory assessments performed by a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), provision and set up of equipment and associated supplies, education and training related to respiratory therapy and equipment use, ongoing monitoring and follow-up assessments, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support, and care coordination with other health care professionals involved in the worker’s treatment.
These services are designed to support safe and effective respiratory management in an injured worker’s home or community setting and promote optimal respiratory function, safety, and independence.
