“Listen To Your Gut” Instagram Contest

Contest rules and conditions

Eligibility

To enter the Listen To Your Gut Instagram Contest (“the Contest”), at the time of entry you must be a resident of British Columbia and at least 18 years old.

Employees of WorkSafeBC and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child and sibling) are not eligible to enter the Contest.

WorkSafeBC reserves the right to request verification of these eligibility criteria from entrants at any time.

Contest Summary

The Contest will run from September 25, 2022 at 9:30 a.m., until September 29, 2022 at 23:59 PST . During this period, WorkSafeBC will post a series of Contest posts by posting one Listen to Your Gut daily question post per day on Instagram. Each entrant will be limited to one Contest entry per day (by participation in the Listen to Your Gut daily question) and can get an unlimited number of bonus Contest entries.

How to Enter

There is no purchase necessary to enter the Contest. To enter, complete the following steps on Instagram:

  • Follow @WorkSafeBC on Instagram; and
  • Post your answer to the daily question in the comments.

Optional bonus entries: After submitting an entry by following @WorkSafeBC on Instagram and posting your answer to the daily question in the comments, get optional bonus entries by tagging friends in separate comments under the daily Listen To Your Gut Instagram in-feed post (you will get one bonus entry for each friend that you tag during the Contest period ). Each bonus entry counts as a separate entry to the Contest and may increase your chances of winning.

Users can enter the Listen To Your Gut Instagram Contest each day to increase their chances of winning. Users will also need to follow @WorkSafeBC on Instagram to be eligible to win. While each entrant is limited to one Contest entry per day (by participation in the Listen to Your Gut daily question), there is no limit on the number of eligible bonus entries per entrant. <

You will indemnify WorkSafeBC from any and all liability or copyright, trademark or other intellectual property infringement claims which may arise.

Entrants shall not provide any personally identifying information other than Instagram usernames (including without limitation name, birthdate, contact information or any images including photos or videos) in their entries.

By entering the Contest, you agree to be bound by these Contest rules.

WorkSafeBC is not responsible for any late, lost, stolen, illegible, incomplete, destroyed or misdirected entries, or for any other circumstance that may limit an individual’s ability to participate in the Contest or otherwise affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Contest, including without limitation technical problems, internet or equipment failure, viruses, computer bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or any other cause beyond the control of WorkSafeBC. WorkSafeBC is not responsible for any human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing or selection of entries.

Contest period

The Contest is open from September 25, 2022 at 9:30 a.m., and closes at 23:59 Pacific Standard Time on September 29, 2022.

Selection of Winning Entries

All valid entries (including all valid bonus entries) will be combined and WorkSafeBC will select five winning entries by random draw on the following date: October 3, 2022. Each entrant will be limited to one prize per person. If a winner’s name is randomly drawn more than once, another entrant will be selected by way of random draw from the remaining eligible entries.

The selected winners will be notified by WorkSafeBC within 48 hours of the random draw by direct message on Instagram using the social media account used by the entrant to submit their winning entry. If the winner does not respond within five days of the first attempted contact, then WorkSafeBC will select by random draw another entry to be the winning entry.

To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must first correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question.

WorkSafeBC will verify compliance with the Contest rules of the selected entry before a prize is awarded. Any entry that, in the sole discretion of WorkSafeBC, is not in compliance with the Contest rules or is incomplete, altered, illegible, mutilated, copied, forged, fraudulent, or irregular in any way will not be eligible to receive a prize and WorkSafeBC will select by random draw another entry to be the winning entry.

Prize

If your entry is selected by WorkSafeBC as one of five winning entries, you will receive one $50 prepaid Apple.ca gift card.

You must accept this prize as awarded, and cannot transfer, substitute, exchange or redeem for cash this prize. WorkSafeBC reserves the right to make prize substitutions of equivalent monetary value. WorkSafeBC will pay the costs to deliver the prize to the winner’s home address.

General Rules

Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries.

WorkSafeBC reserves the right to exclude from its Instagram feed any Contest entry that does not comply with these Contest rules or for any reason that WorkSafeBC determines in its sole discretion without notice at any time.

By participating in this Contest, you acknowledge that you become a Contest entrant. You further acknowledge that your entry information, namely your Instagram username, is being collected by WorkSafeBC solely for the purposes of administering this Contest, determining Contest eligibility, and drawing a Contest winner. If your entry is selected by WorkSafeBC as the winning entry, WorkSafeBC will request and collect your personal contact information, solely for the purposes of arranging prize delivery. WorkSafeBC is authorized to collect your entry information and the winner’s personal contact information under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Decisions of WorkSafeBC regarding the Contest, administration of the Contest and these Contest rules is final and binding on all entrants.

WorkSafeBC may cancel, terminate or suspend the Contest in whole or in part for any reason at its sole discretion.

By entering the Contest, entrants agree to Instagram’s terms of use and release Instagram from all responsibility for loss or damage of any kind resulting from the Contest. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.

The Contest is subject to the laws of British Columbia. This Contest is void where prohibited by law. Any person who enters or attempts to enter the Contest in a manner contrary to these Contest rules or which is otherwise disruptive to the proper operation of the Contest or by its nature unjust to other entrants or potential entrants or for any other reason at the sole discretion of WorkSafeBC will be rejected and that person will be disqualified from the Contest by WorkSafeBC without notice.
