Discussion Paper - Assessment Penalties Policy

WorkSafeBC penalized employers that did not report payroll information or make assessment premium payments on time, as such infractions represent a cost to the workers' compensation system. At issue were the policy changes that would be required in order to implement a new tiered penalty model for non-reporting of payroll and non-payment of premiums.
