Set up your online services account
Our online services give workers, employers, providers, and their representatives a variety of tools to view information and complete tasks in an easy, fast, and secure way.
To get started, you first need to create your online services profile. The second step is to link your profile to online services to access time-saving tools and features. Then you can request or grant access to tools within our online services.
- Step 1: Create an online services profile
- Step 2: Link your profile to services
- Step 3: Add online tools
- Manage your online services account
- Technical help
Shared accounts: With the implementation of mandatory two-factor authentication, shared accounts are no longer supported. Each person must create and use their own online services profile. If multiple people need access to the same account, an administrator can grant access to individual profiles.
Step 1: Create an online services profile
You can create an online services profile with an email address and password. Alternatively, you can sign up and log in using a trusted partner login instead of an email address and password.
Sign up with an email address and password
- Go to the Log in screen.
- Click the Sign up with email button.
- Enter the required information to create your online services profile. When you’re done, click Continue.
- To verify your email address, we’ll send an email with a verification link. If you don’t see this email in your inbox, check your junk or spam folder.
- Once you click the verification link, you’ll be prompted to create a password for your account. Confirm your password and click Continue.
- You’ll see a message indicating you’ve successfully created your online services profile. Click Log in.
- Enter your email address and the password you just created and click Log in.
- You’ll be asked how you’d like to set up two-factor authentication. This provides an additional layer of security by sending a code to your email or phone that you will need to enter each time you log in.
Choose how you’d like to receive future codes — either by email or by text message. If you choose "By text message (SMS)," you’ll be asked to provide the cellphone number you’d like to use for two-factor authentication. This phone number can be different from the number used when setting up your profile. - You’ll be sent a 6-digit code to verify your phone number. Enter this code and click Continue.
- You’ll be asked if you want to add your device as a trusted device. This will reduce how often you’re asked for a six-digit code. You may still be asked to verify your identity if you use a different wi-fi network or a security risk is detected.
Once you’ve created your profile, go to Step 2 for instructions on linking your online services profile to the online services you'd like to use.
Step 2: Link your profile to services
Select the tab that matches the type of account you want to access and follow the instructions to link your online services profile.
Link your profile to:
Before you start, you will need:

- Your WorkSafeBC account number
Steps:
- Log in to your online services profile.
- Scroll down and click the button labelled Access my WorkSafeBC account.
- Enter your WorkSafeBC account number and click Continue.
- Every online services account requires at least one administrator. What displays next depends on whether the account already has an online administrator:
- If there is no existing administrator for your account, you’ll be prompted to provide either your payroll report ID or Internet Application Reference Number. When you provide these and click Continue, you’ll be prompted to confirm you are authorized to become an administrator for this account by clicking Continue again.
- If an online administrator already exists for this account, you’ll be asked if you want to:
- Become an administrator by providing the payroll report ID or Internet Application Reference Number, clicking Continue, and confirming you’ve been authorized to access the online services profile for this business by clicking Continue again, or
- Request access from an existing administrator. If you select this option, you’ll be provided with a list of administrators for the account. Select which administrator(s) you’d like to request access from, and click Continue. An email will be sent to the selected person or people.
If you successfully provide either the account’s payroll report ID or Internet Application Reference Number, you’ll see a success message. Once you click Continue, the page will refresh, and you’ll have access to your firm’s online account. Your account includes basic online tools for employers. To request additional tools, please see Step 3: Add online tools below.

If you reported your injury or illness through Teleclaim, follow the email instructions after your claim was submitted to access and link your claim. You will need your Customer Care number, which would have been provided to you during the phone call. You will also find it at the top of most correspondence we’ve sent you about your claim.

When you provide these and click Continue, you’ll be prompted to confirm you are authorized to become an administrator for this worker account by clicking Continue again.
- If your account already has an administrator you’ll be asked if you want to:
- Become an administrator by providing your Personal Access number, and confirming you’ve been authorized to access the online services profile by clicking Continue, or
- Request access from an existing administrator. If you select this option, you’ll be provided with a list of administrators on the account. Select which administrator(s) you’d like to request access from, and click Continue. An email will be sent to the selected person or people.
If you correctly provide your Personal Access number, you’ll see a success message. Once you click Continue, you’ll have access to your claim information online as well as some basic online tools for workers. To request additional tools, please see Step 3: Add online tools below.
