Longitudinal Analysis of Lung Function Data in a Saskatchewan Potash Mine

The long-term effect potash mining has on lung function and respiratory health is unknown. Although potash miners are exposed to a variety of airborne contaminants, there are relatively few studies provided on their health status

The researchers conducted a longitudinal analysis of existing spirometry data from potash mines, to determine trends in lung function. The results could be used to inform future areas of focus needed for further investigations on exposures and respiratory health effects in the potash industry
