On May 2, 2021, the provincial health officer issued an order requiring workers to wear masks in indoor common areas of workplaces.

This order requires workers to wear masks when travelling in work vehicles for work-related activities, unless they are travelling alone in the vehicle or if a barrier is installed that prevents the spread of droplets between workers in the vehicle. The order lists circumstances when a worker may be exempt from the requirement to wear a mask in vehicles.
