On March 29, 2018, the Board of Directors approved amendments to Item C3-16.10, Pre-Existing Conditions − Specific Injuries, of the Rehabilitation Services & Claims Manual, Volume II (RS&CM).

These amendments remove policy direction on prior shoulder dislocations to align policy with current science. Policy elsewhere in the RS&CM provides guidance to pre-existing conditions or diseases, which may be applied to prior shoulder dislocation claims.

The amended policies apply to all decisions made on or after May 1, 2018.
