On March 30, 2017, the Board of Directors approved amendments to the PDES in the Rehabilitation Services & Claims Manual, Volume II to:

• Clarify guidance on assessing permanent disability awards under the loss of function method; and
• Update and add conditions to ensure the PDES reflects best practices for assessment and diagnosis.

The amended policies apply to all decisions made on or after May 1, 2017.
