On November 14, 2025, WorkSafeBC’s Board of Directors revised policies in the Rehabilitation Services & Claims Manual, Volume II concerning retirement date determinations under section 201 of the Workers Compensation Act. The policy revisions add a reference to the general evidence policies and reword the guidance for workers who are 63 years of age and older on the date of injury to more closely match the policy for workers under 63.

The revised policies apply to all decisions, including appellate decisions, made on or after February 1, 2026.
