Our Policy, Regulation and Research Department (PRRD) held a public consultation on the proposed changes to policy in Item C5-34.20, Wage-Loss Benefits and Retirement Date, and Item C6-41.00, Duration of Permanent Disability Periodic Payments, of the Rehabilitation Services & Claims Manual, Volume II (RS&CM) between April 7, 2025, to June 20, 2025. All issues raised during the public consultation were analyzed by the PRRD and WorkSafeBC subject matter experts, resulting in further changes to the proposed amendments.

At their November 14, 2025 meeting, WorkSafeBC’s Board of Directors revised those policies. All of the public consultation feedback was provided to WorkSafeBC’s Board of Directors as part of their decision-making process.
