New book helps employers prevent slips, trips, and falls in the workplace

Every year, in industries all across B.C., slips, trips, and falls result in injuries to thousands of workers and can have a huge financial impact on businesses. But slips, trips, and falls are also some of the most preventable workplace incidents.

It also discusses how employers can effectively manage the risks by identifying the hazards and implementing controls related to a variety of factors, including workplace design, flooring, cleaning procedures, and worker footwear.

In addition, employers and joint committees will gain a better understanding of how to investigate slips, trips, and falls and to leverage an existing health and safety program to prevent future incidents.
