Discussion Paper - Workers' Compensation Coverage for Motion Picture and Television Productions Consultation

A February 13, 2012 Workers' Compensation Appeal Tribunal (“WCAT”) decision raised significant concerns regarding workers' compensation coverage for individuals participating in the motion picture and television industry.

Employer and worker representatives in the motion picture and television industry requested that WorkSafeBC ensure that workers’ compensation coverage exists for all individuals engaged to provide services on a motion picture or television production.
