Compensation Practice Directive: #C12-8 — Managing Claims of Psychologically Vulnerable Workers
This practice directive provides direction to WorkSafeBC officers on managing claims of psychologically vulnerable workers. It provides guidance on communicating information and decisions to a worker who is at risk for significant psychological deterioration including risk of suicide, on monitoring of claims during the appellate process, identification of exceptions to the RTW obligations, and on involving WorkSafeBC clinicians.
