Fore-aft rollover hazard while using side-boom pipelayers on slopes

Operating a side-boom pipelayer on a slope can impact the equipment’s stability, and there is a hazard of side-to-side rollovers and fore-aft rollovers. If side-boom pipelayers will be operating on slopes, then employers, owners, prime contractors, equipment manufacturers, and suppliers need to be aware of the potential hazard and take steps to communicate and control the risks.

This resource supports employers and workers by outlining safe work practices, including what should be considered in a slope assessment.
