Safe Work Practices in Residential Construction

This publication provides information on working safely on residential construction sites, with a focus on the three main phases: planning, site preparation, and construction. Other safety topics include working at elevation, and tool and equipment safety.

Builders, prime contractors, employers, workers, and homeowners will find information about their roles and responsibilities, and safe work practices.

Note: Changes were made on page 64 of this resource to reflect changes in the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulation around concrete pump operators, effective January 1, 2024.
