The Workers’ Compensation Board had delegated authority under Section 4 of Part 1 of the Workers Compensation Act to make special regulations for the fishing industry. The Board enacted the Fishing Industry Regulations under this provision.

The Policy and Regulation Development Bureau requested comments on a discussion paper on Sections 8, 9 and 9.1 of the Regulations. These sections all related to occupational health and safety matters.
