The Workers Compensation Amendment Act, 2020 (Bill 23) received Royal Assent on August 14, 2020, bringing 32 legislative changes immediately into effect.

In order to implement these changes, WorkSafeBC had to bring its policies in line with the legislation. To that end, the Policy, Regulation and Research Division prepared a discussion paper and draft amendments to policy in the Prevention Manual, Assessment Manual, and Volume II of the Rehabilitation Services & Claims Manual, reflecting the amended legislation, for the consideration of stakeholders.
