On November 24, 2021 the Board of Directors approved amendments to the Permanent Disability Evaluation Schedule in the Rehabilitation Services & Claims Manual, Volume II, to ensure policy on photophobia reflects the nature and degree of the condition and best practices in the field of ophthalmology and ophthalmology assessment.

The amendments include:

• Revising current ratings for photophobia; and
• Adding criteria to the three categories of photophobia.

The amended policies apply to all decisions made on or after February 1, 2022.
