The Board of Directors approved amendments to the Occupational Disease Recognition Regulation and consequential amendments to Rehabilitation Services & Claims Manual, Vol. II, policy item #26.03: Recognition by Regulation of General Application. These amendments confirm that WorkSafeBC recognizes bursitis, tendinitis and tenosynovitis, other than the forms of these diseases listed in Schedule B, as occupational diseases. WorkSafeBC continues to be required to adjudicate the work-relatedness of these diseases on a case-by-case basis.
The amendments came into effect on August 14, 2007.
