Amendments to the Prevention Manual

At its October 2013 meeting, WorkSafeBC's Board of Directors approved the deletion of Policy 20.26-1, regarding inspection of concrete formwork and falsework before placement of concrete. The policy was identified as interfering with the regulation of the Engineers and Geoscientists Act by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC). The policy also duplicates explanatory content which is already addressed in Guideline G20.26.

The change is effective December 1, 2013.
