Trailer loads can shift, resulting in fatalities

Workers can be seriously injured or killed when loads slide off trailers of transport trucks. This bulletin discusses one specific occurrence of a trailer-load shift, which resulted in a fatality, and it illustrates the hazards that were present at the time of the incident. It also provides safe work practices to all truck drivers, forklift operators, as well as to employers of truck drivers and material-handling operations.
