Occupational Health Incident Reporting System for the Forestry Sector

The BC forestry sector has not historically had a consistent method for incident reporting and injury tracking. This project was aimed at adapting an existing multi-purpose occupational health and safety system designed by the research team for use in the health care sector, in order to create a platform for consistent data collection in the forestry sector

The Occupational Health and Safety Information System (OHASIS) is a user-friendly web-based framework that lets health and safety professionals enter and track work health indicators. This new adaptation allows employers, unions, and organizations to be proactive in injury prevention efforts in the B.C. forestry sector
