Developing a compendium of policy levers and opportunities to reduce exposure to antineoplastic (cytotoxic) drugs in pharmacies

This project seeks to compile and catalogue current knowledge to provide evidence-based guidance to reduce worker exposure to antineoplastic drugs (AD). The focus is worker exposure in pharmacies, and it the research will lead to the development of a resource to inform best practices.

The researchers will conduct an environmental scan and conduct key informant interviews with occupational health and safety professionals and pharmacy experts. They will use the information collected to produce a compendium of best practices and opportunities for intervention which summarizes current knowledge and provides practical guidance on how to reduce and/or eliminate worker exposure to AD in pharmacies.
