Notice of Project–Tower Crane update
Starting October 1, 2024, every employer responsible for crane activity must submit a Notice of Project–Tower Crane (NOP-TC) to WorkSafeBC at least two weeks before crane activity begins. “Crane activity” includes erecting, climbing, repositioning, or dismantling a tower crane and must be done under the direction of a qualified supervisor.
Below is an update on our implementation of the new requirements.
Site binder templates now available
The templates in the Tower Crane Site Binder and the Self-Erect Tower Crane Site Binder are safe work practices and resources to help you demonstrate due diligence in keeping key records of your site-specific tower crane operations.
In collaboration with BC Crane Safety, we created these site binder templates to help you to comply with the Notice of Project–Tower Crane (NOP-TC) regulatory requirements.
You can find the site binder templates on the BC Crane Safety website.
