Occupational Health and Safety Regulation amendments now in effect

Thirteen changes to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulation took effect May 1, 2017.

Generally, they include changes to streamline, clarify, and update specific policies, but some sections, such as the ones pertaining to rock dust and lead, have been significantly expanded. The changes affect a wide-range of industries, and employers should review them carefully to see what applies to their workplace.
