You are invited to join other Vancouver Island joint occupational health and safety committee members and worker safety representatives at this fall’s WorkSafeBC Safety Committee Seminar in Nanaimo on November 18.

Who will be there?

Joint health and safety committee members and worker health and safety representatives on Vancouver Island. We encourage sending one employer representative and one worker representative from a company (maximum two attendees per company).

Participants will engage in interactive sessions covering:

  • Beyond the basics: Managing risk with evidence-driven decisions
  • Incident investigations: EIIR exercises and investigations from a human factors perspective
  • Ergonomics and MSI prevention: Practical strategies and program development
  • Safety committee excellence: Communication, conflict resolution, and committee evaluation

This session will count toward educational leave entitlement under the Workers Compensation Act, section 41(1).
