View & submit claim information

A variety of online tools are available for injured workers, employers, and health care and service providers to view and share information about a claim.

Online tools for injured workers

There are three ways to access information and tools related to your claim.

Online services account: With an online services account, you can access your claim information and all of our online tools. When you log in you can:

  • Upload documents to your claim file
  • View the status of your claim
  • View correspondence related to your claim, including decision letters and medical reports
  • View notes from conversations with members of our claims team
  • View payment and wage rate information, if applicable
  • Set up or change your direct deposit information
  • Update your contact details and some personal information

If you don’t already have an online services account, you’ll need two numbers to create one: your Customer Care number and your Personal Access number. We mail these to you in separate letters to help protect your security. For more information, please watch this video on Creating an Online Services Account as a Worker.

Use our document uploader: You can also upload documents to your claim file without logging in to your online services account. You can upload most forms and documents without an online services account — the only ones that cannot be uploaded are requests for reimbursement, your report of injury, disease, or hearing loss, requests for disclosure, and requests to change your contact information. Check claim status and payment information: If you’d prefer not to set up an online services account, you can use your claim number and Personal Access number, which we send by mail, to get limited information about the status of your claim and recent payment information. If you do not have a Personal Access number, you can enter your claim number to see just your claim status.

Online tools for employers

Online services account: With your online services account you can:

  • Report an injury
  • Access information about your workers’ claims
  • Upload documents to a claim file

To set up your online services account, you’ll need your WorkSafeBC account number and either the payroll report ID from a recent payroll report or your Internet Application Reference number. For more information, please watch this video on Creating an Online Services Profile as an Employer.

Once you have an online account you can also:

  • Report payroll and make payments
  • Maintain your insurance account and update your address
  • Access health and safety data and submit an Employer Incident Investigation Report or a Notice of Project

Online tools for health care and service providers

Online services account: With your online services account you can see the status of payments submitted to us, view payment information, and, for certain types of providers, submit invoices to us.

Log on or create an account

Use our document uploader: You can also upload certain types of forms and documents related to an injured worker’s claim without an online services account. You’ll need the injured worker’s last name, date of birth, and claim number.

The following cannot be uploaded:

  • Your invoice to WorkSafeBC cannot be submitted through the upload tool. To learn more about invoicing options, visit Online billing options.
  • Forms from health care and service providers that do not include instructions for uploading. Any form eligible for uploading will have instructions for uploading on the form.
  • Reports that must be submitted at the time of invoicing should be submitted with the invoice to prevent processing and payment delays. Reports can be submitted through the document uploader if:
    • The invoices were submitted through Teleplan (as Teleplan does not allow for submission of supporting documents).
    • You’ve been asked to resubmit a supporting document for an invoice you’ve previously submitted.
