WorkSafeBC Home

Our purchasing policies and terms

All suppliers who work with us are required to comply with the policies, terms, and conditions listed in our bid documents. As part of our commitment to a fair and transparent bidding process, you may request a review of how we award contracts.

WorkSafeBC policies

When you contract to provide goods or services to WorkSafeBC, you're also agreeing to comply with our policies for business and personal conduct. Please review the following policies and contact our Procurement Services team if you have any questions or concerns:

Standard terms and conditions

Unless otherwise stated in the bid documents or a specific contract, all suppliers will need to follow our standard purchasing terms and conditions when working with us. If you have any questions about which terms and conditions apply to you, please contact our Procurement Services team.

Criminal records check – Health care providers

The Criminal Records Review Act requires most health care providers and practitioners who work with us to have a criminal records check. If you're a member of a professional licensing body recognized by the Act, you don't need to go through the process again.

The Ministry of Justice (Security Programs division) conducts criminal records checks for our contracted providers and practitioners who need them. You can contact our Procurement Services team for more information about how to request a criminal records check.

Submitting a vendor complaint

If you have a concern or complaint about our vendor selection process, you can use our vendor complaint form to request a review of the process.
