Working safely with sulfur dioxide and KMS in wineries
Wineries, cideries, and meaderies may use sulfur dioxide (SO2) or KMS (potassium metabisulfite) as a disinfectant and a preservative. Serious injury or death can result if proper precautions are not taken while working with or around these chemicals.
