The Effectiveness of Joint Health and Safety Committees: A Systematic Review

For this project, the research team set out to conduct a systematic review to identify the factors that aid and impede the effective functioning of Joint Health and Safety Committees (JHSC), and to identify gaps in knowledge in this area. They also held a forum with experts in the field to better understand how to meet the needs of JHSC training

The focus of the research was to inform the development of an evidence-based guide to effective joint health and safety committee functioning, with the overall goal of reducing hazardous exposures, injuries, and illness in the workplace, and promoting a healthy and safe work environment
