Did you know that if you’re a rideshare driver, you can protect yourself on and off the road by purchasing WorkSafeBC’s optional workplace insurance?
Personal Optional Protection (POP) can provide you with coverage and benefits if you’re injured while working. POP coverage will pay wage-loss benefits based on 90% of the coverage amount you select (less deductions).
Benefits of POP
When you apply, you can choose how much wage-loss coverage to purchase. Once your application is accepted, your POP coverage will pay health care, wage-loss, and rehabilitation benefits if you're injured at work.
For more details, including the cost and who can apply, visit Personal Optional Protection.
How to apply
To learn more about the application process or to apply for POP, see Apply for coverage.
Please note that you must purchase coverage for at least one month.
