2017 NAOSH Week B.C.: Make Safety a HabitPublished on: March 15, 2017
The North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week is an annual, continent-wide event where employers, workers, and all partners in occupational health and safety collaborate to promote injury and illness prevention in the workplace.
Participation certificates and awards
Every year, organizations throughout B.C. that participate in NAOSH Week receive a certificate and have the opportunity to apply for an award. Certificates are mailed in October and the awards winners are acknowledged at an awards luncheon. The deadline for 2017 award applications and requests for Certificates of Participation is June 2017. There are award categories for a wide range of industries and for large and small businesses. In addition to these industry awards, there's also awards for:

BC CSSE Achievement Recognition Awards
Giving credit for effort and innovation
Now in its 26th year, the B.C./Yukon Region of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) is calling for submissions for the 2016 Achievement Recognition Awards.
These awards recognize excellence, professionalism, and expertise in occupational health and safety for both CSSE members and non-members, too.
There are several awards available both for individuals and organizations who have contributed significantly to the workplace, as well as numerous special awards.
Awards will be presented at the BC CSSE Achievement Recognition Awards and NAOSHWeek safety forum and awards luncheon in October.
