Consider direct deposit to ensure continued payment during mail disruptions

Published on: September 15, 2020

Canada Post temporarily suspended mail delivery in multiple regions of British Columbia today due to poor air quality resulting from the wildfires in the United States.

If you’re an injured worker who is receiving monthly benefit cheques or short-term disability payments from WorkSafeBC, or payments from WorkSafeBC’s Vocational Rehabilitation Services, or you’re a family member of a deceased worker and you’re receiving survivor benefits, we encourage you to sign up for direct deposit to ensure that your payments continue to reach you.

Through direct deposit, your payments are automatically transferred into your bank account, giving you peace of mind. And you don’t have to visit a bank to deposit a paper cheque, allowing you to stay safely at home. It’s convenient, secure, often faster, and it’s one small way to reduce your environmental footprint.

To register, please call us at 604.214.6931 or toll-free at 1.844.274.9746.
