On March 30, 2017, the Board of Directors approved amendments to policy item #97.10, Presumptions, the addition of policy item #26.22, Additional Presumptions in the Workers Compensation Act and consequential amendments in the Rehabilitation Services & Claims Manual, Volume II.

The changes were implemented to ensure the firefighters’ presumption and the communicable disease presumption provided in the Workers Compensation Act are included in policy.

The new policy and the policy amendments come into effect May 1, 2017.
