Preparing a bid response

Many of the businesses that provide goods and services to us have been selected through an open bidding process. You'll need to review the bid documents before bidding on one of our contract opportunities. Each bid document explains what we require and how to submit your response to a bid.

Bid documents

The bid documents posted for each opportunity provide the information you need to submit a valid response for evaluation. Bid documents are unique to each opportunity and may include one of the following types of documents:

  • Expression of Interest (EOI)
  • Expression of Interest & Qualification (EOIQ)
  • Invitation to Tender (ITT)
  • Request for Information & Qualification (RFIQ)
  • Request for Proposal (RFP)
  • Request for Quote (RFQ)

If you're submitting a bid response, please check regularly for any addendums we may post in addition to the original bid documents. Addendums may be posted up to the bid’s closing date and time.

Some bid documents will explain how you can receive updates and addendums to bid documents. Please read these instructions carefully.

When preparing your bid response, be sure to follow the format requested in the bid documents. This will help ensure your submission is valid.

Submitting your bid

Bid documents always list the closing date and time for submissions, and explain when, where, and how to submit your bid.
