Compensation system
WorkSafeBC is like an insurance system but it is funded entirely by employers. It's against the law for your employer to deduct money from your wages or salary to pay your company's WorkSafeBC premiums.
In return for employers funding the system, you cannot sue your employer or another worker for a workplace injury or disease.
The compensation system is not paid through our provincial or federal taxes.
