Consultation on Amendments to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation

The Board of Directors, at its November 17, 2005 meeting, approved the release of the 2006 proposed amendments to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation for consultation prior to public hearings in May 2006.

There were a number of avenues for stakeholders to provide feedback on the proposed amendments, including:

Consultation sessions in January and February 2006 with:

  • Health care employers and workers
  • Stakeholders in general
  • Employers’ Forum
  • BC Federation of Labour
  • Representatives from workers and employers regarding proposed amendments to traffic control requirements, and
  • Representatives from health authorities
